Any of you guys coming to L.A for the Deuce 75th anniversary events?
I am not sure they will accept primered roadsters (kinda doubt it?), but if they do, I think I am going to take the plunge and sign up for The Grand National Roadster Show held at the Pomona fairgrounds near Los Angeles, CA.
Here is a blurb on that show:
"The Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona will be the site of one of the largest displays of ‘32’s this year. A special exhibit has been arranged which will house those designated the 75 Most Significant ‘32’s along with much information, photos, and owners past and present. This will be a wonderful way to honor the ‘32. Mark your calendars for Jan 26 - 28th, 2007. For further information visit www.HotRodShows.com You can also download copies of the Deuce Diary monthly newsletter in our Press Release section."
The thing is, you have to set up your car in the indoor's exhibit area on Thursday and then you can't touch it until sunday night... I am not sure I can stay away from my honey that long!!! I'll have to camp out with my travel trailer at the near by RV park for convenience purpose. I'll also have to take 2 vacation days just for that one show... A lot of hassle... then again I might have to wait another 25 years to be able to be part of something that significant again... So what the heck...
Are any of you coming to see the show or better yet, bringing your deuces to be displayed in the show?

Two months early
Dang it - my scheduled trip to the Left Coast isn't til March. Guess I'll have to be satisfied with my copy of Rodders Journal and their '32 coverage. It's a good one and even has a couple of locals featured on their way to Bonneville. They were at NSRA Nats at Burlington, VT - and yep, their cars are as gnarly as the mag photos show (been to their shop as well).Dave

......Hey Hiboygal, I know they don't accept primered cars at the LA Roadsters Show, the show they have every Fathers Day. But I don't know about the Grand National Roadster Show. But at the LA Roadster Show they do have a HUGE lot right outside of the main area with all the 'other' cars. 'Other' meaning primered cars, coupes, sedans, etc.... And if they have this same set up at the National Show I'll be there in my 3 Window {it should be done by then}..... Bill

Don't let the big buck cars scare you away from contributing to a show. I am going to pitch my car. I hear they do have a hall just for primered cars, (see below).
I wrote the producer of the show and this is what he emailed back:
"Hi Faith,
I saw you cruising at the Cruise for a cure, ands it looked like you were having a great time! loved the goggles.
We have a great building called the Suede Palace. Your car would look good in there. Please print and send in the pictures with the application that you can download on www.rodshows.com under the Grand National Raodster Show.
You will be notified by the first couple weeks of December if you have been selected to be in the building.
Take Care!

I'll be there, one of my friends deuce sedan was named as one of the 75 significant 32's. I thought about entering my own 32 as well, but just too much hassle.
Faith, I will try to look you up. I think you'll be easy to spot.

Owners are not allowed to lounge near their cars (I guess Hiboy and I will be seperated... Boohoohoo) so it might not be as easy to "spot" me Unless I am near my exhibit. Maybe I'll have to wear my aviator cap hehe it works like a charm when it comes to people recognizing me

Yep. And I seem to move 1 thing and it displaces something else with 1/2 of that landing on the workbench and then I forgot where I was going with this other thing and I'll see something else that...
