Peek - a - boo ! Guess wheroo?
Ahhh the many advantages to being a 112 Lbs 5'4" female
THIS IS HOW YOU DRILL YOUR ROADSTER'S REAR FROM THE INSIDE OUT WITHOUT HAVING TO TAKE THE RUMBLE SEAT SET-UP DECK LID OFF
And this is the result - hope you guys like the new plate/light look:
BEFORE:
AFTER
if anyone is interested in seeing, step by step, with photos how we plugged the holes in the fiberglass body and made the rear look good as new, read this page:

PS: Well, now I know I can fit a dead body in my trunk
PSS: No, these are not the actual plate numbers

Just for the record, drilling from the outside was not an option because of a reinforcement strip on the inside that made things very complicated - was in the way and needed to have large holes drilled through it to accomodate the bolt's heads - Kinda hard to explain you'd have to see the inside of the trunk to understand...
For now just trust that I HAD to drill from the inside. So, there.

That looks much better IMHO, nice and old timey looking.
Shame thats not the right plate. Excuse my ignorance but can you choose the design of your registration plate to a yellow background? i thought the stickers were the only thing you can change once you have the plate.
It's nice to be able to get into little places like that to work on your car. Now you want to try welding upside down from that position. That what i had to do when mounting the trunk lid hinges. I had to have confidence it would work or i'd be still trapped inside there!!

Mo better. The billet one was way out of place and time frame. I bought one of the "Hollywood" license lights like you have, and have it stored for my T. They are getting a little pricey due to demand.

Thanks for the info on the license plate light. When I was younger those
things were everywhere, Pep Boys, Western Auto etc... and not expensive.
How things change. Thanks again

SoCal has a very good looking license light.
$29. if I remember right.
It's scaled down a touch, but very similar to what Deuce shows in the pic above.
It's pictured on the SoCal site.C9

I am definitely envious of how well you can get around within your roadster! I usually have to get one of my younger/skinnier kids to do those cramped quarter jobs for me .......... which usually turns into a fiasco But good patience training for Dad
I like your summaries of the work you've done. Thanks!

Yep. And I seem to move 1 thing and it displaces something else with 1/2 of that landing on the workbench and then I forgot where I was going with this other thing and I'll see something else that...
