Thumbs up check it out! check it out!

    Howdie ya'll,

your favorite trouble maker is back and she' been a busy little bee

1- MOVED MY HIBOY'S WEBSITE to a new location so now it's easy to remember, snatched the domaine name http://www.myhiboy.com - I can't believe nobody had taken it already??? Their loss, my gain

2- FIRE UP MY HIBOY! Go to the www.myhiboy.com and now you can fire up my roadster before cruising the website it's pretty cool, I've worked on it for 2 days and I have outdone myself. let me know if it worked for you. Turn on your speakers for a most enjoyable experience!

3- SCTA: I contacted the SCTA yesterday and spoke to a very nice lady there who is in charge. I was hoping to obtain some information on Veda Orr's life. Turns out the nice lady had received the Veda Orr award herself last year (yop, there is a Veda Orr award) BUT she did not know who veda was and had never seen a single photo of her!!!!! I was happy to fill her in and emailed her 4 photos . but most of all i was really HAPPY because thanks to me she determined that the SCTA itself had been mispelling Veda's name for many years now, giving the award under the name VERRA ORR
She said they would fix it right away. I thought it was ironic that a greenie/newbie like me would know more about Veda than the SCTA itself and saved Veda's name (and honor ). Hopefully she looked down from heaven with a smile. The very nice lady gave me the name of an ALL TIME OLD TIMER that may have info on veda's life and has TONS of memorabilia from all the SCTA races (a garage full I hear). He is not too far from me so you know who he's gonna get a phone call from today ... I was told every saturday morning, a BUNCH of OLD timers get together in his garage and talk about the old days... I want to see if I could be invited to one of these unofficial meets to get the whole experience documented! What a treat that would be!!! (maybe I should have been a journalist?)

Well, thats' about it from sunny, windy California.

    FAITH

Ooops, maybe not, I forgot to add that I created a cool page yesterday with some neat background info on my life, my love for cars as well as some old 1936 photos from my grandfather's automotive shop and basically why I bought a hotrod. I think you might enjoy reading this new page:

Using a PC w/ XP Home Edition. MS Internet Explorer. It keeps coming up that it wants to run Active X. I say OK but locks it up

I think the glitches on your site are caused by the combination of you using Frontpage and some of us using Safari on a Mac. The giltches show up in Firefox (Mac), Internet Explorer (not as many) and Netscape (Mac) too. Looks good with IE6 (Windows) but has problems with Firefox (Windows).

BTW, I like reading your adventures and love your roadster, kinda makes me want one.

I think it has to do with a security setting on your PC. I guess I will have then to add a normal "enter" button underneath, so that everyone can still enter the website... Bummer though because firing up the hotrod is a lot of fun . The lights turn on and then the engine fires up and revs up and a license plates appears that says "enter"...

No sound with Firefox and distorted left side menu after entering.

    Worked great with IE 6.0.

IE 6.0 does not work all the time on my old operating system (Windows 98SE) so I use Firefox more often.

Works for me, XP and Firefox. Motor sounds nice and lumpy.
I also loved the story, i emailed the link to a few of my friends. I only have a problem with the photo's, they run of the edge of my screen so i have to scroll it back to view them, otherwise no problem, nice work.

We were away the last couple of days (which means my car gets behinder and behinder) but I did a quick check and it looks like you should probably review this web site - and maybe the problems will go away. I'm not PC literate enough to know much about the ActiveX .

I just had an enjoyable cruise through the adventures of HiBoy Gal. I almost felt like I was along for the ride. You are a very talented story teller. You're also real lucky to live in Southern Ca. where the weather is very roadster friendly and the cars and outings are most excellent. I'm gonna find the time this weekend for sure to back my roadster out and enjoy a cruise, even if its a short one. Thanks for the inspiration!

I was just checking out your site -

I was in Louisville when those kids were putting the engine in your car. I had a new edelbrock carb acting up and the edelbrock guys gave me another to swap it out.....It only took 20 minutes or so to do, and I walked over and checked out their progress on that motor swap.

Small, small hot rod world we live in......
