It's just been too nice here in south central PA. Last couple of weeks temps ranging from hi 40's to low 60's. Got a bad feeling about January and February.Hope I am wrong.
Went out and fired up the 57 Olds today. First time since breaking my arm. That old big block pushing hot air through a pair of Smithy's really sound gooood!
Got to get the battery charged in the 34 before cranking it over. Can't wait till Spring

My grandson and I went over to visit the Village Idiots on Tuesday (H.A.M.B. group) night in the roadster,46 degrees, my grandson is smarter than me he asked "why didn't we go when the sun was out?"

My wife's salary could help, but she is saving to retire in 12 to 18 months and we will eventually need that saved $$$.
I really feel for those who depend on snow for their income. I'm sure that Hunter Mountain and all the other ski areas(my favorite, Gore Mt has only 19 of 87 trails open) and winter sports areas. Local shops, restaurants, bars, hotels will feel the pinch and suddenly people will be out of work and marginal businesses will fail. I'm know not going to spend my yearly several hundreds of dollars on my normal winter outdoor activities since at least the first week of January is, in effect, 'in the books'.
Sooooo I'm working on my car and hope to finish by June, but too late for NSRA York.

We're gonna suffer with the bugs come spring but ridin' the roadster comfortably at 9 PM in a t-shirt in January is a great treat in January, even in Florida.

Dam**d the bugs, full speed ahead. Went cruising Saturday (68 F) up in the mountains, window down, arm hanging out. GREAT day of crusing, me and a buddy got about 175 miles on our hot rods.
OLD WIVES TAIL. Cold weather in the winter has NO bearing on the population of bugs in the summer. I have seen 62 winters and 62 summers, and the winter temps made no difference in the summer bug population.

Many of the long tube cast headers I've run across had a relief ground on the back side for starter bolt clearance. I just trimmed the bolt on mine. On these new shorty's, they eliminated the...
