Hiboy Girl latest updates
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
This year I celebrated the New Year "early" as in - this morning - and plan to stay home tonight to work on my short film.
THE CELEBRATION...
Joined about 100 other hotrodders and their awesomes cars for a huge cruise up and down Colorado Blvd, following the exact route the Rose Parade will drive tomorrow. Spectators are already camped out alongside the street and were delighted to be entertained by all of us rodders. Everyone was waving at us ! It was a lot of fun. On the way home I meandered into South Pasadena to look at mansions and beautiful streets. Did more shooting and got pretty creative with camera angles ) (you'll see...) - After about 8 hours of driving I am beat and happy to now be home... Weather was nice - freezing when I left the house at 7AM but warmed up around 11AM.
THE SHORT FILM...
Is coming along nicely - I have almost all the footage I need, but still writing the final script. Will be finalized by tuesday. Then editing starts! Many thanks to all of you how helped me find some of those elusive Highboy Girls...
THE SONG...
Spent Saturday in the studio to quick off the recording of my song "Flat Black Roadster" (remember?). I finalized the song structure and had drummer lay drum tracks, then an upright bass gal laid the bass. She is also a hotrodder plus is in a rockabily band and she really loved the song, so that's a good sign... I think it will be a cool cruising tune!! Can't wait to share it with you guys!
PS: It's kinda cool that I can utilise my artistic background to contribute to the hotrodding hobby - in my own little ways...
Well, as you see, very busy but not so "out of trouble" hehe, Hiboygirl, signing off, SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR!!Last edited by HiboyGal; 12-31-2006 at 08:52 PM.

Happy New Year, Faith. I just finished a '32 and can't wait to enjoy it in 2007.
Yep. And I seem to move 1 thing and it displaces something else with 1/2 of that landing on the workbench and then I forgot where I was going with this other thing and I'll see something else that...
