I talked to her Thursday during set up, She seemed pretty frazzled. She said she didn't finish her movie until 4:30 that morning. Then they were jacking her around on her electrical hook up. For all she had going on she very graciously stop what she was doing and talked to me for a few minuets. Very nice lady.

.....I talked to Faith at the roadster show yesterday. She had a really nice display set up with; her car {of course}, the film that she make going on a monitor, sand all around on the ground & some antique 'time correct' items laying out. Old Coke bottle, glass of Coke in an old style glass, tool box, her driving hat & googles, etc, etc, etc......

    yehehehe...

did I just win the vote for "most elusive" hotrod girl?

I am so sorry I missed you guys... I was by my car on and off but did a lot of walking around and filming. Came back with 75 minutes of good GNRS footage... Now if only I could find the time to edit it and a way to stream it so you guys, who could not make the show, could see the show as I did.

I HAD A BLAST. Met many people, made new friends... went to the Hall of fame lunch on and did not know a soul there... but soon was invited to sit at one the tables near the stage (must have been that red dress I wore ) and turns out everyone there has cars in bldg 9 or 4 (in short, they either owned one of the 75 most famous or they owned a roadster compeeting for America's Most beautiful roadster title)... And here I was, little ol' me with my little Hiboy... Well, everyone at the table was very cool and humble, no boasting or looking down on me. They even came by the Suede Bldg to look at my Hiboy... And encourage me. This nice man owns 2 of the 75 most famous deuces! he kept telling me: "I like your Suede building, I could spend the whole show there"... cause our building was the most creative, with pretty rad rat rods and customs... And good rockabilly bands...

I interviewed and filmed Bo Hopkins (American Graffiti) sitting on my hiboy's tire (how cool is that?) and met Andy Brizzio (got some footage of that) and also met Dan Fink and dragged him back to my car so he could see his windshield.. I was very impressed with Dan. he is such a NICE man, humble and kind and very down to earth... I interviewed him in front of my hiboy too. I also met George Baris and we sang the theme to batman together and were plain goofballs (I also filmed that) LOL. His video team liked my little movie (well not so little as it turned out to be 40 min long) and they offered to possibly live stream it directly from the Barris.com website...

that would be cool. Hope they come through.

I have a firm offer to be in Car Kulture Deluxe magazine (again, but this time as a feature story), hope it pans out. Would be nice to see Hiboy in there, the little guy was an underdog for 25 years, so it's time for his luck to turn now!

Met the nice English man who runs the Hotrod Foundation. he wants to link his site to mine when I finish the Veda Orr page. That would be cool!

Well for a complete rookie, I did pretty well . When I passed by Andy Brizzio yesterday, amidst a crowd of people, he actually nodded "hello" to me.. I was like "Oh my God, Andy Brizzio said hi and remembers me... How cool is that?"

    (I'm not worthy....)

I had many compliments on my short film effort despite the fact noone coud hear a thing (Live bands playing drowning everything). Some people asked where they could buy the DVD LOL... I was not prepared... I gave away quite a few CDs though, and at some point on Sunday they played the Flat Black Roadster song on the main PA in the Suede Building. That was cool.

I did not win anything (zero, ziltch nada), not even the display trophy in the Suede Bld - but I had a GREAT TIME and I am so glad I did go to the show, finished the movie and went all out with my little display (400 pounds of sand and all). It was all well worth it.

Next? PETERSON AUTO MUSEUM DEUCE WEEK SHOW. I'm already all signed up, confirmed and ready to roll. Can't wait to film the cruising with all the 1932s.
    FAITH

Faith, it sounds like you had a fantastic weekend.

Wished I could have been there to see it all happen.

Oh well, maybe, someday I will get to see you little roadster in person!
