After all this talk of bias plys vs. radials, I had to go out and get a set... Just came back from my test run, and it seems to drive damn near exactly like it did with radials... except it spins the skinny rears alot easier.Joe Barr

About time you saw the light. So, all the stories about doom and gloom weren't real, huh?
Seriously, looks much better.

PS: What happened to the shake you had?

Thanks, there's no question in my mind that bias plys are where its at, especially on a fenderless car. The shake I had was either the pinion angle or the driveshaft out of balance. I fixed both at the same time so i really am not sure which was the bigger culprit. The pinion was aimed 3 degrees higher than it should have been, and the driveshaft too a small weight when i had it balanced... It seems much better now. As for the gloom and doom of bias plys, i never really did buy into all that, if i did, I'd still have those fat radials on it.Joe Barr

Yup, you're right. Just because the traction rating, load rating, and speed rating is better with radial tires then bias tires trying to convince someone that radials are better would be pointless. Once someone has made up their mind, no reason to confuse them with the facts. But hey, if form is more important to you then function, have a ball with the skinny little bias tires. Think I'll stick with my big fat radials and enjoy the improved traction.....
Heck, the skinny little bias ply tires would still be good for competition!!!! If you like drifting!!!!Last edited by Dave Severson; 05-03-2007 at 07:15 AM.

Say, has anyone heard from Hiboy Gal lately? This thread seems to have gotten away from her!

She's probably deep into the movie making business and lining up people to act in the movie. Next picture we get will be of her sitting in the Directors chair with one of those megaphones, and her yelling "CUT."
Hollywood, you know.

LOL on the "properly Englich"!! Here the slang use for "Roger" is a radio response, sometimes adding "Wilco" or "That", to show receipt and understanding. Thus your "Roger Moore" was a bit of a head...
