If you are looking for a plain trans tunnel I remember seeing one for sell in a summit racing catalog. pretty cheap too. I have seen them for sale at other places. They come with the tapered ends too.

Not really that difficult ... with just a little planning ... always go with card board first ... metal is not as inexpensive as card board.

Summit has these for 50 bucks. You could use this kit to make a custom fitting tunnel. They also sell a basic tunnel like what you would see in a dragstrip car .I think they come in aluminum and steel.http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Once your pattern fits good, transfer it to the sheet metal and cut it out. For putting the bend in for the tunnel,
Would it be best to bend the radius first, then transfer the template and cut the angles?

I always do a rough cut first, then put a few reference marks for the radius on each end using a straight edge to connect the lines, bend the tunnel then trim the excess as I fit it to the floor and firewall. For me, it works better on the bending if I can see the basic dimension of the piece I'm bending....If that makes any sense. I guess it all depends on how you normally do it, either way should work fine...
