There are commercially available O2 sensor eliminators but they are kinda pricey. I will see if I can find a web page for them. You might check some of the providers that can reprogram the ECM to see if they can eliminate the back two O2 sensors (probably cant eliminate all four) since you need the ECM reprogrammed anyway for your application.

The bad news is that the thing is either a resistor or an RC circuit in a plastic box with some potting compound and wires.....probably 39 cents worth of components.
What are the Ill. laws regarding the newer engine in the older car OR is it registered as a 2007 vehicle? Denny's question about being legal is a legit question.Last edited by robot; 06-14-2007 at 01:14 PM.

Illinois now has a street rod registration, and it will be titled as a 1932 Ford if it is a reproduction of a 1932 Ford. But to get the registration, it has to be inspected by NSRA inspectors, I think. I wanted to insure mine while I was building it as my homeowners insurance would not cover it if it was put together, so I bought a title from one of the title brokers. I had no problem at the DMV, and since Illinois has a set charge for plates, the state doesn't care that a fiberglass car may have a 1932 title. Now in California, it is a different story.

Thanks for the help
Thanks for the help on the o2 sim. I think they might work. Car is actually a 54 chevy wagon but I always look at the deuce den so I wasn't completely honest. I do have a bb chevy deuce highboy so I hope that's okay. Rumrum is right on the rules in Illinois. Transplants are not questioned by the state. It's really not a big problem here. Hope it stays that way or I'll have to get a real job. Thanks again, Minx
Thank you Roger. .
