Alrighty then.....I was at the goodguys show in scottsdale arizona and looked closely at their 5 window. I have just purchased it and am waiting for the cerimonial timeframe of building it.
When it's done, I will respond further.

Actually, this is both good and bad. Its good because the next generation will have the cars to see and drive. Its bad because the cars will become less exclusive. Just a thoughtRight engine, Wrong Wheels

Okay I purchased the 5 window with a 3" chop, starting price $8700.00 then I added a swing out windshield and a roll down rear window = 9590.00. Of course shipping and stuff will cost.

I do custom interiors. The inside looks good with wood around the door and top to attach interior plans to.

New-age 5-window body
Okay. I'll try again! I just picked up the 5-window body I ordered from them in August and overall I'm happy with it. I ordered it with pretty much all the options - cowl vent, flip out windshield, roll down rear window, stock deck lid handle setup, 3" chop, and they're all right on. There are a couple of areas I'm not that happy with tho, but they can be fine tuned by me. The cowl edge where the lacing goes is pretty thick and nothing like a stock one - I like the way it's done on the Wescott body of my roadster a lot better. The door frames, between the outer door skin and the inner panel, are not detailed very well. I'd think that when they go to all the work to make the rest of the body look "real" they'd finish these areas off better. The outer door skins were separated in a few spots from the inners where they bonded them, but I've already epoxied them back together so that's done. The body was well secured and packed in a sealed area at the front of the trailer it left Conneticut in so I don't know how the separating could have happened on the trip out here, but the guys at New-Age assured me they didn't leave their place that way Anyway, I'm still glad I went with their body and I'll post some pics as things progress. If anyone wants to discuss it any more feel free to E-mail me at deuceguy@shaw.ca."nobody likes a top on a roadster, but it's nice to have one in the trunk when you need it!"See us at www.topsters.com

And you know this is the second body I have purchased due to being WAY unhappy with the first one.
I too saw their body at the goodguys show in scottsdale and at a local shop. But I am now going to worry about mine ? Hmmmm. . . . . .

I have a 3 window and it is the closest to a steel body that you can buy. Very Solid and has all the firewall markings in the engine area. Not smooth. It is as accurate as a body could get. The doors close very very solid. Ed and Rich know what they are talking about and are REAL HOTRODDERS. They are a pleasure to deal with and will continue to do business with them. Highly reccomended!!!Last edited by Donprant; 12-27-2003 at 01:58 PM.

Whoa Donprant! Don't Y'all get me wrong here, cuz I TOTALLY agree that Ed and Rich are really good guys to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate a minute in buying another coupe body off them! The body they make is undoubtedly the closest to a steel one, that's why I bought it, and it's well built. I was just pointing out a couple of things I noticed on my body that could be "fine tuned", and I also mentioned these points to Ed and Rich as "constructive criticism". My roadster is a Wescott body and they are REALLY nice bodies, and I think my 5-window from New Age is on par with that one. Anyway, I too would highly recommend their bodies to anyone, and the problems that I had were easily fixable..................but..............I still wonder WHY the door panels separated and WHY the drivers side outside handle was broken."nobody likes a top on a roadster, but it's nice to have one in the trunk when you need it!"See us at www.topsters.com

New Age body update
Okay, so now I've got the body sitting on the frame and I've noticed a couple of things about the fit etc that's interesting! They've got a great steel structure throughout the body........but the oval holes in the frame pads where the body bolts go thru don't line up worth @#$%^! So this is going to take a lot of trimming, cutting, and grinding. (Yep, all the mounting holes in the frame are exactly where they should be). The swing out winshield looks like it's going to need some fine tuning too, cuz there's some serious gaps at each top corner, but we'll see once I get into that! All in all it's comming along fine tho - I mean that's hot roddin isn't it??? Still a fine looking body!"nobody likes a top on a roadster, but it's nice to have one in the trunk when you need it!"See us at www.topsters.com

A couple of other things you might want to watch on yours (or mention to them BEFORE you take ownership!). The gap between the top of the gas tank and the bottom of the body across the back seems a bit much at 1 3/8", but I've also been told that's fairly common on glass bodies!? The gap on my Wescott body there is about 3/8 - 1/2. The trans tunnel, on mine, is offset to the pass side and is not an even arc - there's about a 1 1/2" gap on the pass side and about a 1" on the drivers side, weird! Overall this particular body isn't the quality I expected for the price I paid - but they're on the east coast and I'm way out here on the west coast of Canada so waddya goona do!? I'm going to do what we're all SO used to doing up here with aftermarket parts that seem to come from the "To Canada Bin", I'll fix it and it'll all work out in the end! Wayyyyyyy to much of that happening now days!"nobody likes a top on a roadster, but it's nice to have one in the trunk when you need it!"See us at www.topsters.com
Merry Christmas ya'll
