    32 grill & shell

Can someone please educate me about what an original 32 grill and shell looks like. Someone told me that one that I had posted for sale has been "filled and peaked". What does that mean? I posted one for sale which I was told by my grandfather that it was all original. He has had it for over 50 years and it was that way when he bought it. There does not appear to be any tampering done to it. all of the original seals are still attached to it and the paint seems to be original as well. Could someone please help me?

    Thanks much,

    Glendon

P.S. I appologize to anyone I may have offended in the sale thread. Got a bit defensive!

Glendon, your grille shell is an original that has had its radiator cap hole filled and a small peak added to the top. This was and is a very popular thing to do as most radiators don't use the radiator cap on top.
I bet if you look inside at the top of your grille shell you will see a round filler piece that has been welded in to fill the original hole.
