    Muroc roadster & Foose Hemisfear

I loved the Muroc roadster but the Foose car was too modern for me.

And the Foose car w/ mid/rear engine Hemi

Oops- how did that get in here?

And the host of the holiday car show?

Charlie's a friend of the family. Not sure, but I don't think he own's the Muroc 1 now- someone else was there w/ the car. He may have had another driver bring the car. He had 2 other cars at the event- one is his hot rod yellow milk truck & the other a 55 hardtop. Charlie owns some expensive cars- over 300 at last count & still buying. He wated to buy my 55 but I was too pricey & it wasn't driveable enough for him.

I did a search & it says the owner of the Muroc 1 is Matt Tachdjian. That wasn't Matt w/ the car last Sunday though.
I can't read the name on the sign board though. Charlie had a 34 that was a runner up at GNRS for the AMBR so his tastes in cars runs high.

I could be wrong here but the car looks way to much like a Plymouth Prowler for my taste.

It's cool looking but who's got that kind of money to do a build? (besides Chip Foose) Beautiful car but out of my leaugue.

I had another pic of car w/ the sign in better view & it does say it's Matt Tachdjian's 32.

Probably nobody here- but still great to look at. That Muroc roadster is 1 of 10 all hand built from aluminum by Marcel DeLay. I guess you need Marcel's calling card today to compete for AMBR- last year, I think all the finalists had Marcel bodies.

Even IF I had the money, and I do not ... I would not want a AMBR car. I would much rather have 5 or 6 nice ( 100 grand each ) cars than just one ( @ 500 -600 grand ) that I would be afraid to drive.

One of the AMBR cars owner lives about 20 miles from me ... Paul Trussel ... 1932 Ford ... and he never uses it. He has a 32 5W with about that much $$$ in it too ... His 5W is sitting on the other side of the roadster in the above photo.

It was the AMBR in 2002 ... and IMHO ... was the last decent looking AMBR winner ... the more recent " winners " are too wild and cut, moved and fabricated ... for me .
