i did a 55 post using the 3m stripping disk pads. worked good but was a butt load of work and made big mess. shortly after that i put in the blasting booth . dupont starblast is a very fine media and works in pressure pots well. it gets the cracks and stuff clean. it also contains less than 5% quartz.

Update...the media blasting on my 30 Brookville with glass beads worked perfectly. It took 1 1/2hr to do the exterior (under the floor) and to do the complete interior removing the Brookville red oxide primer. The media blasting got primer off areas where it would have been almost impossible to get off by hand. I just needed to have only the body done and wanted to make sure there was NO rust lurking anywhere. My painter is happy with the way this media blasting turned out and now he is working his magic. Maybe June or July I will be on the road!!!! Thanks for all the help and advice from my fellow club members.

Uncle Bob, I read a very good article on paint and rust removal where they recogmended the very same product. Here is a link to the article by Second Chance Garage http://www.secondchancegarage.com/public/206.cfm" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.
