    my 32 frame build

     



    just started this a few weeks ago this is just the frame build so far its not finished but is a work in progress here are a few pics my work so far


    crossbars installed just a mock up to see the ride height this is not the front end im gana run have a 5in drop axle on the way


    cross braces installed about to box sides in

    went to the lathe and made some nuts to fit inside holes and tig welded in place

    cut out c-notch

    tacked 1/8th inch plate in place


    finished weld


    will have more pics as soon as i get some more stuff finished

    i have yet to decide on a body cant decide steel or glass but im leaning more towards steel right now

    The School Wyotech has come a long way since I was there in 1988; I took a class in the auto upholstery, and custom painting. The other students helped me put new interior in my 41 Chevy coupe street rod. I think the instructor's name was Danny {genuine Draft} Miller. When the class was over the staff was looking over my car, and later they started offering a class in street rod building. I checked the site you suggested and it looks like you are a part of a very talented Family.

    just an fyi if your thinkin this is the wyotech program i am in just because of that truck your wrong lol doug larue left wyotech and vctech and started his own school we are HRI aka THE HOT ROD INSTITUTE brand new school started 7 weeks ago this program is pure hotrods no bs no collision refinishing and no icar programs you come here to work strictly on hot rods and nothing else if you dont wan2 take a class you dont have

    just letting you guys know this is not a wyotech school

    Hey I Am Lookin At Starting School At Hri In April Or Maybe At Latest July. How Is It So Far?? I Am Flying Out From California On Saturday To Check It Out On Monday, What Are Your Opinions Of How It Is Run, And Your Impression Of The Shop, The Cirriculum The Instructor(s)?? Do You Think That There Is A Good Chance On Employment In The Custom Fabrication Industry After You Finished The Courses??? Hook Me Up With Some Feedback.... Who Knows I Might Meet Ya On Monday...     cool man HRI is goin pretty good doug the head instructor is a very cool and talented person he knows his stuff and joe our bike instructor is one of the smartest guys ive met.. the shop is awesome we have about any specialty tool you would need mill lathe english wheel and many more.. as for the employment after school that is all up to you and how you perform your job there is no guarantee any of us will get a job doug will try his hardest to find a job for you most likely you wont be working for the big dogs to start off but in my opinion you will get every bit of your moneys worth here at HRI hit me up when u get in town my #316-708-3288 my name is jesse
