72 nova rearend
could anyone help or tell me im changein gears in my nove from 3.90 to 4.56 will the same shims from the 3.90 gears work with the 4.56 or will i have to add sum shims with the 4.56 gears. 8.5 unit

Are you talking about the shims for the pinion???? The shims would be the same size, but no telling how many you will need til you set the pinion depth.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

The shims are the same size . But you will have to re-set it up you may have to add or remove pinion shims . And side bearing shims . You also need a new crush collar . When your done check it with marking compound .
