Worlds Fastest 4cyl Street Roadster
For those of you out in LA, I have my 32' street rod on display at the LA Auto Show. It is a 32' with a Dodge srt-4 blown motor in it ( gas) . We set 3 land speed records with it this year out at Bonneville with runs averaging over 200 mph! .
I have had everything from a BB Hemi in it to a SB Chevy...I thought it would be fun to try something different.

Well done! Congratulations to you and your crew.
On a side note: It's amazing what a little engine will do if you add enough boost/technology to it.

FNG:
When I first headed into this project with the SRT-4 motor, I was doubtful that we would ever get over 500 hp. and even more doubtful that I would break the 160 mph mark ( the old record was 141 mph) I was estatic when we ran a pass at over 200 mph the first time.
But it is amazing what you can do to those little motors with a 'snail' on thrown on them. They fact that we could build a 144ci motor that produced over 780 + hp and run the full 5 mile run under full boost is amazing ( we had over 27 runs throughout the season, and about a dozen dyno sessions). The motor is still strong and ready to run.
We are building a new motor for next season that will be over 900hp - on gas! I hope to get all three gas records in the roadster class and then try for both of the fuel records in the roadster class.....

Racedeck, nicely done! What do you do for traction, what tires are on the rear? Do you add weight to the back end?Objects in my rear view mirror are a good thing unless,.... they have red and blue lights flashing.

Yes, we have ballast in the rear as well as many other places throughout the car. We run the GoodYear Front Runner tires all the way around. The traction varies as the conditions of the salt changes throughout the day, there is always some slip as we make a pass.
The roadster actually is drifting quite a bit from side to side as it tries to cut through the wind. It makes fro a fun ride when you are "sliding" throught the course and passing the mile markers every 8 seconds!Jorgen Moller - CEO

Congratulations Jorgen
Congrats to the whole team that made it possible.
It's good to see a group of hot rodders break new ground. I'm sure Detroit and Stuttgart have taken notice. Maybe even some of those big block fanatics.
I guess you proved that old saying wrong. "There's no substitute for cubic inches".
Good luck on going faster this year after you work the bugs out.
