Body to Wheel gap?
I was wondering what the "mormal" gap seems to be between the body and the tire is on the rear of a 32 coupe or roadster open wheeled car? In pictures it looks like it is pretty close. Maybe 1-2 inches?
Mine is now 4" and it shows a little more rear axle than I want and the wheel seems a little too far away from the body.32 Ford

I am pretty sure mine is two inches--it is tight enough that I cannot fit my hand in there.

I used one inch between the widest part of the tire and the T body. Worked ok.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

Thanks for the info, Guys. Sounds like I need to figure my backspacing and section wide so that I end up with 1-2 inches.32 Ford

Are you talking wheel clearance or tire clearance? Whoops never mind. Did not see the rest of the thread....Last edited by Stu Cool; 09-18-2008 at 09:15 AM.
Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
