    Gas Cap

My car was built with a stainless steel gas tank and a threaded gas tank neck. I would like to change the threaded cap to a traditional style cap without replacing the neck. I can't find anyone that makes an adapter. The cap is 2 3/4" outside diameter. Can someone give me the inside diameter of a stock cap. Maybe I could gut a stock cap and put it over the threaded cap?

    Anyone know of an adapter?

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Dan

Get a stock cap and gut it like you said and epoxy it on. If you get the V8 style don't forget to clock it before you epoxy.
I've done a couple and it works good and looks great.

Thanks HemiDeuce. Do you happen to know the ID of the stock cap? Just want to double check. Thanks for the reminder to get it clocked correctly.
