The Trip
This is a link to a slide show of a trip my son and I made. We have been working on the car since he was 13 now he is 18 and the car is 100% complete. I wanted to take a trip that would be an adventure that he would never forget after I am long gone. It was a success. We attended the Black Hills Overdrive event in Rapid City S.D. I highly recommend this event. Unlike most events this is a driving event. Every day leave a 7:30 a.m. and tour the scenic Black Hills. It was a blast even if it did rain every day. We went through 9 states and 4000 miles.

What an enjoyable trip you two must have had. The picture of you two, side by side inside the coupe, says it all. You've given your Son a memory he will cherish for the rest of his life.............I actually have tears in my eyes from watching it, but good tears. Very touching.
Thank you for sharing a very nice Father/Son event with the rest of us.

That" s great your Son will always remember the trip. I took my family cross Country in 1987 we were gone 21 days and put 6,000 miles on a brand new Chevy Van we bought just for the trip. I said everyone living in this great Country should be able to see the beauty of our land.
1988 I drove cross Country by myself to Wyoming in a 41 Chevy Coupe it was great. I would like to take the wife one more time since the little girl is now 38.

What an awesome trip! My kids are all grown now and hope to have my truck done (streetable) for my son's wedding next July, and I think my daughter would be the one to really get into a roadtrip. She and I already enjoy driving aroud aimlessy.Superman wears Chuck Norris pajamas

I know the feeling. My son is usually my co pilot and I love it when we get to hang out together.

Thanks for all the positive response. I read the post of IToldyouso about the lack of postings and decided I would share. I also envy IToldyouso's roadster every time I see it. Maybe that will be my next project.Danny
