    Master cylinder clearance problem

Need some help. Put my body on my chassis this weekend and it looks like the lid for the master cylinder wont fit between the floor and the master. I might have to go with a smaller one. Any ideas ? I hate to cut into the floor and put a small trap door to make it work. I dont want a remote either.

Sounds like it may be the easiest solution. Sometimes we have to make concessions. If a guy was really crafty, he could adapt a gas filler door from a late model donor.

Most people have a hole in the floor on a under floor mounted cylinder otherwise how are you going to check fluid level ???

I have an access door along with a remote for my MC.

This is what the remote looks like. The 1/2" plate behind it was to give my fittings and SS hose a bit more clearance as well as a bit better appearance :

Do you have a link to the manufacturer or a retailer for this remote fill? Is it the same as the one at www.streetrodstuff.com/Products/76/?

That's the one - tho I didn't pay $150 for the entire assembly. My recollection $115-$125, a NSRA show "special"

Here is the one I use, small for tight places looks simple, clean, and one thing offered over the others is there is a bleeder in the lid, allowing for easy bleeding. This is a feature other manufactures do not offer in there product.

Few bucks more but less headache in the long run.

I used the filler assembly for I/O boat . Has flange w/ 3 drilled holes - mount to floor-center un-screws to fill fuel. Center the fill cap over master cylinder top. You must still remove m/c cap from under car but have direct access to fill . Screw center section back in, lay carpet back over-never know it is there! Note you must cut tubing connector off of flange where fuel hose would go to boat tank but that is only modification needed. You can also mount on top of carpet and just put floor mat over to hide. They are chrome so looks nice even w/o mat if needed.
