Thanks Ryan. I picked it up in April and it's something I wanted since I was a kid. It's the F350 Lariat and it has that nice big screen for navigation, phone link, entertainment, and climate controls. It has the 6.7L Powerstroke and I love it! I've been to Jersey twice in it to visit and it's getting 20mpg. I only have just over 2500 miles on it. I hope to get an enclosed car trailer, and I think that will be a bit much for the Crown Vic that was towing my 18' open hauler.
I finally attached the converter to the trans and the trans to the engine. I had an unusual circumstance, since Ford made 3 different crank pilots. There's a 1.250", 1.375", and 1.850". My crank has the 1.375" pilot hole, but the nice TCI Street Fighter 10" 3000 stall converter has a 1.250" snout. I had a 472 cubic inch engine in my brother's 47 Ford Truck, which had the 1.250" crank pilot hole that had this converter in it. I made a little bushing from scrap 3" exhaust pipe, since the walls are .0625", it filled the .125" gap I needed. It worked like a champ after filing it smooth. I did a trial fit before I put the converter in the transmission. She's all bolted up and ready to go. Here's a few pictures.
The 1.250" snout is on the left and a 1.375" is on the right. The one on the right is a PTC 4500 stall converter that I got in a transmission deal a few years ago. That's too much for me.
This is the small bushing I made for the snout of the converter from 3" exhaust pipe. It worked out pretty good. I didn't want to leave that .125" void in the crank pilot and rely on the 4 bolts to hold the converter "centered". Maybe it doesn't make a difference and maybe it does. I'd rather be good with the snug fit and center support on the crank as if I had the 1.375" snout on the converter.
Valve covers touched up again with Old Ford Blue. All I have left is to paint the body and I can start putting this thing back together again.

Great work! Your front pump bushing says thanks for making the shim for the converter. Your Ford is sweet! I'd love to have one but we have to get a property first, and the kids will have to be in college too. HahaRyan

Dad was down in Maryland the past 5 days, so we were able to get alot of work done to the Coupe. Here are some pictures of the progress.....
My Dad is so good he can put this car together blindfolded. hahahaha
Dad bench bled the master cylinder.
While Dad was up front with the brake lines, I put in the rear suspension, housing, differential, axle seals/axles, and rear drum backing plates/drums.
My Dad at 75 years old still loves to turn the wrenches. I’m so blessed to have him helping me.
We were hoping to have the engine and trans in, but we were getting a constant leak from the brake proportioning valve. After we took it back off, we saw the flare for the rear brakes flattened out. The flare fitting looked good, so we’re not sure what happened. I have to order a new valve . Even though we only spent two days on the car, we put more together than we anticipated. I miss my Dad here already and he’s back in Jersey. Mom cooked some great meals here too and took care of the house. I'm one Blessed guy here. I bought a propane heater for the garage, so I'll be busy all winter. We used it this week and it was like summer in there.New Age Motorsports 32 5/W 521/C6

Thank You! The family time was even better. We went to the new Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore on Saturday night, took them to a nice seafood place on Friday night, we went to Mass downtown on Sunday and breakfast afterwards. We painted some car parts the rest of the day Sunday and really only spent Monday and Tuesday on the Coupe. Dad and I really wanted to see the engine in, but the brake leak killed most of Tuesday. I made videos of us in the garage putting it together too. We were laughing so much. hahahaNew Age Motorsports 32 5/W 521/C6

You made some great memories there, Pat, plus made some progress on the coupe as a bonus! Too bad about the brake line leak, but in the big scheme not too much of a hurdle. Thanks for posting.
Now about that comment that Dad's ".... still turning wrenches at 75..." Heck, he's probably got another 25 years to show you how it's done!!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Frame looks great Pat, always goes better with good help around!!! Brought back a lot of memories that my Dad and I spent over the years working on projects! He was my biggest supporter (and biggest critic) over the years, karts, race cars, Hot Rods, and most anything else we did he was right there with us! Thank you Steve, Roger, and Dave. My Dad will be back down after Christmas and we will have everything fixed up that we missed. I will have the new valve, so we will put the engine/trans in, the driveshaft shortened from my old Fairlane in, headers and exhaust system, fuel tank and line to the the carb, trans cooler and trans lines, radiator and grille shell, headlights, and anything else except the body. Dad came down to Baltimore after Christmas and we have the Coupe looking great! Here are some pics to show the progress. We will cruising next summer for sure
