I'm way behind on pictures and updates, but I've been plugging along since my last post. Thanks for all the likes and replies. I have a youtube vid to post of the first startup last Saturday when Dad came down from Jersey. It ran much better on Sunday when I bumped the timing to 18 initial and set the idle mixture to the highest vacuum on the QuickFuel carb. This thing is just nasty. LOL I will be driving around next weekend for sure. I ordered the wrong plug wires, so I had some old ones laying around to get it running. I have a box of goodies from Summit racing to get it better this weekend. Here's a little teaser. I must have watched it a 100 times. I can't believe I never ordered a throttle cable or I would have taken it around the block.

Thank you everyone for the kinds words and likes. I can't believe it's been 3 months since my last post, but I made some great progress. Two weeks ago, Dad and I took the maiden voyage and she runs great! I can't believe how quick this thing is. I put it on the scales at a place down from my job, and it's 2800lbs with a half tank of gas (10 gallons). All that's left is the interior, which I will have done over the winter, when the guy who did the seat gets slow. I still have some more work on the clearcoat, mostly buffing out some spots I missed and a couple runs to smooth out. It looks good in the pictures, but I'm my worst critic. I think I watch too much TV car shows where they are perfect. Anyway, I can't tell you how happy I am to finally have it driveable for my Dad. I'm going to take it to South Carolina to see my brother over Labor Day, up to Dad's two weeks after that, and then I will keep it in his garage when he comes back from a trip with Mom early October. Thanks again to Ed and Chris at New Age Motorsports for a beautiful template and excellent support!!!
I only had the seat done. It's in heather gray tweed and gray vinyl. The rest of the inside will be the same theme. I like the old school vinyl/tweed mix.
I found some LED license plate bolts, which have a threaded shaft and nut to hold the plate on. The B&M Quicksilver shifter has a micro switch for reverse lights, so maybe I have the only 32 Ford with reverse lights. haha The lighted LED above the plate comes on with the parking lights for the plate. The 50's Pontiac LED tail lights are nice and bright.
Here's a quick video of my Dad (nickname Troat - Jersey accent for throat, he always has a sore troat)

Congratulations to you both on an another fine rod tearing up the black top. Sounds oh so fine too and brought a nice smile to hear the rear tyres squeal going down the road.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Thank you everyone! I really appreciate it. This week, I'm going to put the wiper motor in, the transmission temp sensor, a courtesy light, flush out the straight water I have in there and put in the 50/50 mix. I ordered some different coil springs for the rear Aldan's, that should be here by Wednesday. I also need to adjust the headlights. All small stuff.
Glen - I hope to see you at Winward Beach in Brick NJ on Sept 16th. That's my 3 day weekend, so I plan to head up to my Dad's that weekend.New Age Motorsports 32 5/W 521/C6
