Here's a couple more pics that Ed from New Age Motorsports sent us on the progress. We still can't wait to see the pictures of the 521/C6 inside those frame rails. Those rims and tires will NOT be on the car when finished. My brother Joe let us use the rear tires off his 47 Ford Truck and those are Crown Vic mini spares, just to get us on the trailer to take it home.

I received some update pics from Ed and Chris, and the 521/C6 is officially in there. There's alot more room than I expected. They also hung the doors and trunk. It shouldn't be much longer now, until we bring her home. I resized the original pictures sent.

She asked what size, I said 521! She said WHAT???? I just smiled...

I got a call from Ed that my new headers wouldn't fit, after the body was on the chassis. After a brief moment of "what am I going to do now", Ed called me later that night, and told me he made roll cages and custom headers, and had a solution for me. Ed and Chris are something else, and they made me a happy camper. Enjoy the pics he sent me. The tubes he has in the pics are for mock up, and when the tube comes in, he'll bend it to match and weld. While I was on the phone with Ed, Chris made sure I could take the valve covers off without trimming anymore. Where are you going to get customer service like that?

Thank you guys! She's here! We picked it up yesterday and she's home safely in my Dad's garage. I called my Dad this morning, and he cleaned all the dust off the body and engine, so I'm going to take some pics in his garage, with more details. I can't believe the job Ed from New Age Motorsports did modifying the #4 and #8 exhaust tubes on the Sanderson headers I bought. The doors shut solid, and you'd never know it was a fiberglass body. It has a roll up rear window, the push out windshield, and he re-did the fiberglass for the brake/gas pedals since it was too tight of an area after the last pictures I posted. Ed and Chris at New Age Motorsports are simply amazing! The windshield was the only thing that wasn't there yet to bring home, so the one on there is an original 32 that he had on for display. I'm glad my brother Joe let us borrow his rear rims and tires from his 47 Ford truck, because I like the look of the 31" tall tires, and the 2.5" backspacing. I'm going to sell the 29" tall Hoosiers I bought on Craigslist, and get 31X15X15 tires for the back. Those front tires are Crown Victoria 26" tall spare tires, so we like that height, but will go slightly wider on those, but not too much. I think that will give it the right look. It will have plain steel rims with chrome center caps...not sure on the chrome ring around the rim....Old school look. The radiator is a 4 core aluminum with an electric fan/shroud combo. It's rated to cool 550+HP, so this should do the trick. I LOVE this car and it's my Dad's dream come true. I still can't believe that we were able to sell everything we already had, and only had to come up with about $3000 to buy it. I can't give Ed and Chris enough props for the quality of work, the excellent customer service, the constant contact with update pictures and phone calls, and the ability to solve any fitment problems in house. These are "can do guys"; there's nothing they can't do! Thank you so much for making my Dad's dream come true. I think it finally hit him this morning when he went out in the garage.
BTW, Crown Victoria's make nice tow vehicles, but Ford doesn't want to let you know that. My Vicky tows this like it's not even there! 8) I put 650lbs on the tongue with the weight distribution setup, and it handles like it's on rails. Never any trailer sway, and with the electric brakes, it stops on a dime. I have a nice plug in for the winch, and a 7pin RV connector on the hitch. I have heavy duty coil over rear shocks, heavy duty front shocks, and added the rear sway bar. You can't be too much overkill when it comes to safety. 8)

She looks right at home in her new digs! Now the real fun begins!
