Tunnel ram set up
Hi!! Put on a tunnel ram in January and have been tinckering with the tuneup, here are my results. 1932 glass 3 window,1987 302 ford with a b cam and gt40p heads(used craiglist motor) stock fuel pump, weiand tunnel ram with 2 390 cfm holley carbs(new),5spd m5r2 trans(truck),355 posi, car weight is 2640 with me in it.stock jets are #51-.050 hole, went to a #66-.066 hole on the front carb and a #67-.068 hole on the rear carb(the front plugs were burning different than the back) 6.5 power valves in both, purple sec spring,# 28 squirters, timing at 10 before TDC-34 total. Manual chokes on both(don,t really need them,3 pushes on the gas when cold fires up,after warm up no push on the gas is needed, fires up) At idle it has 20 vac,on the highway 12vac. I,m pleasantly surprised the way it runs,no bogs, not temperamental,it plain runs great!!I,v driven it in30 degree weather up to 90 degrees. I think the lightness of the car and the manual trans help the tunnel ram on the street. Pete

It idles at 800rpms(had to back out the secondary throttle plate adjustment screws 1/4 turn to bring down the idle ,the primary idle screw was all the way down) 2 OBG air cleaners.

NICE!! She's a great runner! Looks like you got the tune set about perfect. That's great, gives me some encourangment to do mine with dual quads.
A skip is a huge crate with chains on it at all four corners, the only way I know to shift it is to hire a Hiab. A Hiab is a small crane mounted at either end of a truck's tray...some pick up at...
