Your post reminds me that there are just some things that I wouldn't spend a nickel on.

tech, please elaborate. Do you mean that you do not like the looks of the covers or is your comment a shot at a particular vendor(s)?

Those are tough to call. Most of that repop tin comes from one source that's hard for we consumers to identify. As a generalization most of the vendors sell the ones that don't fit worth a damn without considerable reworking. Not only doesn't the "pad" that attaches at the crossbar not line up (I had one that the hole was 1/2" off, but the curve of the portion that flairs out to the fender isn't sufficient to reach the fender, about an inch short of the job. If you've got patience and drive, look for a set of originals. A set just showed up on ebay yesterday with a starting price of $150ish.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Ooopps........I meant to add that the company who is repoping the 5 window coupe may be a good source:1932 Ford Body Replacement Panels - 1932 Ford Steel Body United Pacific
I don't see those listed on their site, but it would be worth an email to them to find out. You'll read a bunch of whining about "China crap" in reference to their stuff, but people who have actually worked with their hardware say it fits very well. It's not about where something comes from, it's about the commitment of who makes it.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

I just stepped on one of the frame horn covers last weekend....one made by Mr. Ford. Now, if I can just find the other and the left front fender that are also in the weeds somewhere.

Thanks guys for the input and links. I have a pete and jake's frame and the plan ($ permitting) is to use a brookville body. Consequently, it is indeed a tough call. I'm mixing apples and oranges so...
Thank you Roger. .
