It's actually Canada France Hawaii Telescope Corp I work for. That was the secondary mirror (small one that goes on top of the telescope). We will be recoating the primary mirror in a few weeks - I'll post pictures of that. The secondary mirror (actually both of them) are irreplaceable, but we estimate it would take two years and over a million dollars to replace the secondary...

Ok, got the Primary mirror removed and recoated at work, so I finally have some free time when I'm not completely whooped.
Frame rails boxed, pinched and set up on the build platform.

I tried to rent an engine hoist, but it didn't come back as was planned... so the engine remains on its shipping pallet.

This is gonna be fun to watch. Keep up the posts. (spotted the NM plate on the wall in the first pictures, curiosity at a high. Were you stationed at Clovis for a while?)

Me too, me too, I like the build table also as I wouldn't of thought of using timber but your set up is excellent.

Okay, can you put me out my misery and tell me how the grille is sitting there ? Sky hook using invisible strop ?

It's resting on the framerails and a string at the top.

That's what it appears to be on my end..

The grill shell will sit down on the front suspension bracketry when done. Just had to pop it up there for a pic. Also, I'll be using a different grill shell-this one is just for mock-up. Engine should be going in between the rails on Saturday or Sunday.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. This is my first car project in over a decade since doing the custom motorcycles. Can't wait to start machining really trick stuff for this!!!
