    The bore for the drive hub was press fit the whole way, so I took .0015 off it to help line it up with the keyway.

    bored the bottom two holes in the cover for the locator sleeves and tapped a couple 1/2npt holes for the water fittings...

    I also dropped the pan and ordered a new cast alum finned 'T' pan. When I pulled the intake to do some finish machining, I dropped a washer right down an intake port and into a cylinder...

    So, $150 in new head gaskets and peace of mind that everything will be assembled correctly...

    nice work, the engine looks really nice. That stinks about the washer. At least you knew and ripped it apart instead of forgetting and waiting.

    Looks very nice. That looks like a stout pan. At least they cast in relief areas so you can access the bolt holes easier.
