We will be recoating the primary mirror in a few weeks - I'll post pictures of that. The secondary mirror (actually both of them) are irreplaceable, but we estimate it would take two years and over a million dollars to replace the secondary...

Just a small area of fussy repair around the vin# stamp and ready for crossmembers.

Ok, got the Primary mirror removed and recoated at work, so I finally have some free time when I'm not completely whooped.
Frame rails boxed, pinched and set up on the build platform.

I tried to rent an engine hoist, but it didn't come back as was planned... so the engine remains on its shipping pallet.Last edited by chopsmitty; 12-17-2017 at 05:02 PM.

Me too, me too, I like the build table also as I wouldn't of thought of using timber but your set up is excellent.
Okay, can you put me out my misery and tell me how the grille is sitting there ? Sky hook using invisible strop ?
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

It's resting on the framerails and a string at the top.
That's what it appears to be on my end..

The grill shell will sit down on the front suspension bracketry when done. Just had to pop it up there for a pic. Also, I'll be using a different grill shell-this one is just for mock-up. Engine should be going in between the rails on Saturday or Sunday.
Thanks everyone for the encouragement. This is my first car project in over a decade since doing the custom motorcycles. Can't wait to start machining really trick stuff for this!!!
