    32 roadster with BBC

I recently bought a 32 roadster with a 502 Chevy. Runs and drives good.
Just curious if any of yall run a big block or most stay with a small block?

I had a'30 Model A sedan with a 454 & toploader 4-speed. Loved it and wish I still had it. It drove like a dream

Welcome to CHR! There's a lot more small blocks in the popular '28-'34 hot rods, but you'll see everything from soup to nuts. Even a few diesels out there! Saw a very, very nice roadster running a Lexus powertrain in NZ a couple of years back....

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

First off welcome and we would love to see some pictures of your ride.

Yup what Roger said, if you stick around here long enough I think you will find we have a couple of really good BBC guys who really know the ins and outs of those motors. You’ll also find that a lot of the members have gone different directions than the venerable Chevy motors.

(and the El Camino in the background is running a 507 Cadillac)

    Again welcome.

A big block with aluminum heads and intake isn't too much awfully heavy------at least in a today era hot rod the fuel tank has been moved to the back or under the car which moves quite a bit of weight off the front-one of the biggest issues will come from braking balance especially with big/little tires.http://www.clubhotrod.com/photopost/...VC-635F_1_.JPG

There are more pics of the construction of this 32 in my gallery - 4 or 5 page
