10.71 @ 64mph on 1/8mi. in 67 Fairlane 500 stock 289 2bbl, headers, flowmasters, electric fan, 8 inch street tires. Has quite a bit of bondo on it too.
Seemed like it took forever to get to the finish line. I think my stock Silverado 4x4 daily driver would be faster. I did win the 1st round though.Last edited by blownS10; 04-26-2005 at 11:13 AM.

I ran a Super Gas (9.90) car for a couple seasons, Full tube chassis, Strange strut front, 4 bar rear. 71 Maverick shell, 'glass front end, doors, deck lid, aluminum floor and firewalls. Power was a 514" Ford, Coan glide, Strange aluminum center section in a Currie fabricated housing. I since sold the car (less engine), the proud new owner now runs it on the street with a kicken 460, aluminum Super Cobra Jet heads and a Vindicator built C-6. Still a very quick car!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

The whole sad story is, the guy I sold it in 62 sold it in 65 with out the engine an this guy took it all apart, still has it and wont sell it, better yet it is about 3 miles from where I live. The engine went into a stock car an got a broken crank wound up behind a gas station rusting away. Makes you want to cry!
