F&L Racing Fuel
Has anyone out there tried F&L Racing Fuel? I went to buy my usual VP 115 octane and they had this F&L racing fuel. The guy says they outsell VP by a large margin, primarily due to the price. A 5 gallon can of VP is $49 and a 5 gallon of F&L is $40 and it's 118 octane.
He's had no complaints about the gas. Any input from you racers?

I was wondering what you are using it in?
Looked in your gallery, guess you're using it in the coupe? Nice ride!
The previous owner of the car I just purchased said he was using 92 pump gas. Would I benefit from using race fuel? What adjustments are necessary for higher octane?

I'm running a 1940 Chevy drag car, small block, 13 1/2.1 compression, roller cam, turbohydro, etc. Runs about mid 11's.

Here's something interesting I found while researching racing fuel.

Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
How did you get hooked on cars?
