whats good tranny to run on 1/4 mile

I like a powerglide because of the light rotating mass but like denny said, it depends on what its behind....

its a pretty stock 350, i have a 2 speed powerglide now, but it needs rebuilt, o i was wonedring if its a good trany for the car
