L.A.Street Racers
I came by this site surfing the web for The L.A. Street Racers Car Club..
The President and Founder of the Club was T Willie, and In order to be a member all you had to have is a ten Second street machine !
I met T Willie way back when and lost contact in the early 90's.
I've wondered if they are still going??
Any of you from the area happen to know??
Thanks guys,

Is this the guy you're talking about (Big Willie Robinson)? I'm not from LA , but I sure do remember reading about him in all the car magazines. Looks like he was the founder of the National & International Brotherhood of Street Racers. Here is a link that might help you.

Type in Big Willie, Street racers on Google and you'll see some other interesting sites with articles about him and his wife.

Yes, I too "back in the day" remember reading about him and seeing his rides in almost every hot rod magazine. He is truly an icon in the street racer's world!
Let me know if you turn up any recent info about him.

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
