hahahaha There is a little story that goes along with that burnout. I had cataracts in both of my eyes and couldn't see any of the gauges. The engine came up a little faster than I had expected. The shift light was set at 6800 and it came on, I backed off of the pedal a little, then a little more, and before I knew it I was further down the track than I had really wanted. If I had to take a guess I'd say the motor was close to 7500 during that. It did make for a good show though. I installed a burnout rev limiting switch the other day, so the motor will go up to about 6000 now.Mike Casella

We made it to the Nostalgia Drags this past weekend to try and get in the two license upgrade runs. Unfortunately on the first pass the transmission decided it couldn't handle the grunt I was giving it and first gear went bye bye. After clicking into second at the 1/8th mile mark, I was able to get into it and finished off the run with a 10.XX @ 154mph. Not too bad for a half track pass. New transmission is already on order, and shoud be ready to go in a couple of weeks. Sorry, no video on that run, you'll have to wait for the next trip.Mike Casella

If you do come up, make sure you visit our trailer and introduce yourself. That day they are having the Jet Wars along with us Outlaws so it should be a pretty good show.Mike Casella

The class I am in, Outlaw 10.5, requires that I shift the car myself, but I have an electric shifter if I ever want to play in Top Sportsman or ProMod. It's a 2 speed powerglide.Mike Casella
