Super Chevy Show MAple Grove
Well I remember seeing a thread about who was going ot the show, but who really went? I went today (sunday) The whole day till about 3 p.m., weather was perfect, nice car turnout, just an overall awesome show. Airborne express wheelie truck was there, nitro coupes, jet cars, and an unbelievable amount of bracket cars, beautiful cars at that too. Anybody go as a spectator, show car, or even racer? My cars, projects, and builds.

Haha yea that vete was insane, i as shocked at how quiet it was for a 235 mph 6 seciond car lol. I have to say tho, it was a little depressing seeing hundreds of cars that are perfect in every way, running consistent 9's and 10's. One day il be with them lol.My cars, projects, and builds.

Yea i live all the way out in eastern long island, been coming down from ny every year since i was a kid. Cant wait to come back for funny car reunion. Yea i have an 84 firebird, almost done with my 383 swap. Next is the tranny and converter because I no it wont hold up to this. Speaking of, I am being held up by the power steering and alternator brackets. I took all of the brackets off, but now im not using the smog pump, or ac, but I recall that the ac bracket was used for power steering too, its been 5 months so my memory is a little shot lol. Any help would be great, or even a few pics of the powersteering pump and alternator if you can. Also, I ridded of almost ALL of the wiring crap, smog crap was unbelievable, along with electric choke, and ac. I used as many wiring diagrams as i could find. I need my oil press, and temp wires. I am 99% positive i found oil temp, and i think i have water. Any info there would be great, My dad usually answers all my questions, but he is a big block guy used to 60/70's cars, and isnt used to crmped engien bays and electrical nightmares lol. Thanks guys.My cars, projects, and builds.

That would be a great help if you could. You did a sbc conversion? If so then you prolyl ran into a lto of the issues I did. Any header problems? What kind of exhaust did you use, and which wiring did you keep? I assume you lost the smog crap? Also, the water pump bolts, are they bolts, or studs to mount brackets too, that is my main problem right now. Thanks
BTW, i musta been tired, but its not at maple grove, its englishtown this sunday, old time drags and funny car reuinion, ill be thereMy cars, projects, and builds.

okay, i started with a z28 that came with a carburated 305 after pulling the motor i eliminated the comp. and all wiring going to it . i kept alternator starter oil pressure and water and distributor wires. i replaced the dist. with a 74 and older one the headers are the eldelbrock short tubes and collector pipe that i fabricated a pipe in place of the converter and im pretty sure i used the stock power steering pump it bolted right up to the block, the only thing i didnt use was the ac braket that bolts to the left head and exaust ill send pics tonite hope this helps
i wont make it to nj but i will be at geezers at the groveGLENN
