Okay, I'll give it a shot. Assuming your 280hp is accurate and everything is reasonably matched up (power band, gears, tire diameter) and you know how to drive it I'll put you at 12.8 @ 105 mph.
Please run it and let us know...

At 5000+ feet, I would say low 14s to high 13s at best. That thin air is tough.
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

You're telling me, Stu! At Bandimere the best corrected altitude I've seen is 8000ft but sometimes we get up to 10,500! Never see better than 24 in air pressure.
That's why I qualified my prediction with the assumption he really is putting 280hp to the ground (no correction factors)

yeah out track is is 24-2500 some odd feet up good thing about where our track is, is that when eliminations start the air is nice and cool although breakouts are easy to do when the air gets cool like that. sure makes damn good power when the air temp is 65

My car is 2850 lbs and at 700ft elevation it runs 12.34@111mph.
It has a ZZ4 SBC 350 and dyno's at 309 to the wheels.
It has a 4-spd with a 3.65 final drive.

im guessing if your a real good power shifter you will pick up a tenth or 2, but if you can not slam that stick like you want to break it, in gereral you loose about 15 feet of track per shift against an automatic shift car. and
sbc datsun im guessing about a 14.50 e.t. on the motor only!
