as far as a front engine thats out, it will be chain drive and i dont want that chain running by my body, my parade was rained on last month anyway, they announced a new class for adult jr. dragsters that use the banshee and 600cc motors, and right off the bat there are very strict tech inspection guidelines for all these cars. i am not sure i could get it to pass all thier rules on the tight budget i was holding this project to. i will still mudle my way through it and take it to the local track here, the owner will let me bi run it on a saturday morning test and tune day. and who knows by the time my boy is old enough to run it i will spring for a proper built chassis.

oh man they are fast, now add a hot rod crank kit, bore 080 over with wisco pistons, add a boost bottle and a complete FMF exhaust jet up to 310 mains and it will be twice as fast. i finally did the right thing and sold it ironicly so just yesterday, too fast for this old man! and oh ya you were really bored if you dug this old thread up.

Around the year 2000 at Famoso they were drumming up interest in 600cc and 1000cc plus mini dragsters. I think I remember Dave Tuttle was going to get into building them, or maybe it was someone else. Anyway I dont think they ever really caught on around here.

id still like to build a jr, front engine dragster why not use a shaft drive motorcycle motor or, just encase the chain drive inside a steel housing fully enclosed and lubricated
