My personal opinion is that these posts you are doing only enhances the forum, but maybe I don't see the big picture from the administrative side. I am one of the people who post lots of stuff, and there is a reason why I do that (besides the fact I like to gab a lot). I love this forum but sometimes there is not a lot going on thread-wise, and some potential members who have looked at us have mentioned that fact. I think we are more involved with quality rather than quantity, and there is something to be said for that. However, sometimes to keep the attention level up it is nice if there are a lot of things to view on the forum. I use it in place of TV, and also to learn, so I am constantly checking in.

I hope your posting these pictures is not restricted, and can see no reason why it should be. You have thought enough of us to want to give us this gift, and I think many of our members are enjoying and appreciating you doing this. You aren't doing this for any possible personal gain that I can see, and it has to be a lot of work doing these posts.

    JMO,

    Don

Don...I'm not sure, but I think Brent may be concerned with server space. Just my thoughts.

Yeah it can chew up some serious bandwidth.

I for one really enjoy seeing them, it's what I cut my teeth on and brings back tons of memories.

If you could resize the photos you might be able to strike a reasonable cord with the Admins.

Yeah Pat, that was something I know very little about, so it could be part of that "big picture" I mentioned. I have been kind of "generously" posting pictures of various things ("generously" is my way of saying I am a HOG )

    You could be right though.

Now please note I'm all for the pictures being posted and hope that they continue

Here's where the rub may be Don.
The picture of the Funny Car contains around 241665 bytes.

My post (text) above yours contains around 12031 bytes.

So in essence, that one photo takes up the same bandwidth as 20 of the text posts.

This is were the concern may develope.

This site is very user friendly when it comes to posting pics, I've been to many that will only allow linking to pics on a offsite server.

I post this only as reference and hope no one takes this the wrong way.
