    New Pro Mod Rules!

I think Pro Mod is the modern equivilent of the Fuel Altereds. OUtrageous appearance, short Wheelbase, guardrail to guardrail racing, and horsepower and speeds like the 200 MPH Altereds of the '60s!

NHRA has now added turbos to the list of engine combinations. That should make it just that much more interesting! :-)

I grew up going to 1/8th mile Midwestern tracks, like Paris and Charleston, Illinois. There was a 1/5th mile in Terra Haute, Indiana.

Saw people like Garlits, Sox & Martin, Muldowney, Arnie Beswick, Jenkins, and many others run there. Good times and great racing!
