decibel level in a fuel car
i have searched the net for an acurate decibel level of a top fuel car for about an hour, and not gotten an acurate quote yet. ive read 95 db @ 3500 rpm under NO LOAD at 50 feet away, ive read 160 db from the 1000 foot mark from 120 feet away from an alcohol rail. but no reading from a true top fuel car from a trackside crew members perspective with the car launching under FULL LOAD. ive got a co-worker that thinks his car stereo is louder @ 172 db taken from the inside of the car. but he has never heard a fuel car to make his own opinion. me on the other hand have heard thousands of top fuel cars but not his stereo to be accurate either, any thoughts or real knowledge would be appreciated!!!!!
