Here is a favorite shot I found on the net!

It reminds me of the early '60s when we would hop the fence, and lay under the guardrail, near the Indy finish line. All you could see was rooster tails, and all you could hear was blower whine,........ until they blasted past.....at OVER 200! It seemed incredibly fast back then. :-)

Jim McFarland once calculated that the maximum speed in the quarter was around 180, I believe.

Actually, I still don't have it right---its as hard as me building a model, the real thing was easier, but I did find a couple new pics

Trying to go back and forth from OCIR site and ClubHotrod was hard and I think I flubbed something

I wondered where CC,Il was--My mother in law lives there along with my wifes brother and family---on Daisy Place ???

I grew up in the Danville area, from about 1950 on. Moved to Tucson in '75.

We moved here from Iowa in about '83.
