Lugs
I have 7/16 lugs in my front hubs. I wonder if this would be a problem for tech. This car will probably run in the 11's. I really need to get a rulebook!

Can't answer that question from a drag perspective, but Corvette's had 7/16" lugs for many years, at least through 1982 and it never was a problem for them and many of them were raced and some at 11 or lower. My 34 has them on the rear (vette irs). There are a number of members here who race frequently so I will defer to them for an accurate answer to your problem.Bob

You should be fine:
Section 5.2
"...The thread engagement on all wheel studs to the lug nut, or lug bolt to wheel hubs, must be equivalent to or greater than the diameter of the stud..."
So for 7/16" diameter stud, you need at least 7/16" thread into the _hex portion_ of the lug (i.e. > 7/16" of stud protruding from the washer before adding the lug nut)...

Used to have to run open end lug nuts so tech could see the stud protruding through the nut..... Did the rule change?????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I quoted the 2007 rule book... the accompanying diagram showed a closed nut (I run open nuts with long studs)...
I think there have been quite a few changes in the past couple years:
I seem to remember reading that you can't have a line-loc on the driven wheels period, but the only mention of it in the '07 book is under stock and superstock. General regulations and sportsman advanced ET etc say nothing about running multiple line locks... I inquired at the tech booth this weekend and they said no you can't run two line locs, and I said well I can't find it in the book so after 20 minutes of all the tech guys reading the rule book (the track was getting dried out after a heavy rain storm so we had some time to kill) they came back and said no you can't run two line locs (front and rear) and pointed to the passage that says: "if a differential pressure switch is used the front line loc should be after the switch" and I say that doesn't say I can't have a rear line loc... but I had to give up the argument as I could sense the tech guys were getting really irritated with me... and usually you want to be on good terms with those guys
