NHRA rules
Hey gang. I'm getting ready to order some roll bar tubing for the 'maro...anybody have a new rule book handy to see what the spec for moly tubing 8 point roll bar for a 10.90 car is? Think it used to be 1 1/2" X .083 wall......???????
Thanks
Found the spec on a google search that sez 1 5/8 x .083, but I thought that had changed for moly??????Last edited by Dave Severson; 01-29-2008 at 09:41 PM.

The majority of the rules are there for a reason, unfortunately many times the reason was injury or death. If NHRA wants 1 5/8" .083 wall tubing, sounds good to me..... I've lost way too many friends to freak racing incidents over the years to question their logic, or yearn for the "good old days" when safety was for sissies.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

at the risk of pissing alot of people off and sounding morbid, thats just the risk of racing. i realize that while my car is no speed-demon i could eat it at anytime but the fun factor outweights that for me. this year event hough i didnt get to race, my fellow tech-y's talked me into a 5 point harness so i got one. yeah i was using an old lap belt can ya belive it

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
