IMO John IS,WAS,AND WILL ALWAYS BE a excellent business man. Hes better at that then racing! He definitely know how to work the crowd. by getting his daughters in and in the light brings in tons more sponsors and MONEY. Win over fans and then comes the sponsors with your tactics. Unlimited sponsors means unlimited cash flow. Who could compete in drag racing????? Off course he wins time after time who wouldnt with a endless resources of money and cars. Money keeps you on top. Blow up a 250,000 dollar engine and not even think twice about moving on to the next round because you got 10 more in your 5 trailers and 2,3 cars ready to go. He cant be stopped hes a good show. I think there should be some kind of cap on teams but if theres to much money coming in ,WHY? level the playing field and things like this wont even come up. WHAT HAPPENED TO GOOD OL F-ING DRAG RACING!Last edited by BigTruckDriver; 04-30-2008 at 09:08 PM.

Hey BTD I just gotta ask. Did you ever find out who stole the wheels and tires off that blue burb? They didnt even have enough common courtesy to put it on blocks, how rude.

I wish my race record was half as good as his!!!!!! Guess you can say anything you want about John, but the record book kind of speaks for itself. Takes one heck of a good teacher to get someone going fast in the Pro ranks the way John does... Lots and lots of talent, and a personality unlike anyone else in the sport.....
As for RT's, again it's a matter of doing laps in the car to get used to how the car leaves.... When someone gets a double 0 light in Top Fuel you can bet they left on a guess and not on their reactions.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

and finally--- It was a drag racer, not a businessman who won those 14 championships!!!!!!!!Last edited by Dave Severson; 04-30-2008 at 09:24 PM.

Ashley had lane choice and runs a 4.837 @ 320.36 r-time .110. Not a great r-time, but the second quickest run of the day. John let her win, I think not, he wanted to win and pushed a little to hard....**it happensOur race team page

His record ain't as good as mine.............. I drag raced my first 62 Pontiac (I stock automatic), and got first place in my class at Twin City Speedway in 1965. Never drag raced a car at a drag strip again. My record....... 100%
