Dave- Sorry I missed this, It was, but also a lot of work keeping 4 cars running. After a while you have to look at the scratch pad on the desk to see where you are

    Hey Ken,
Nice to see you got to ride that rocket.
I remember working your shop when Mooneyham's car came in.
Remember me? Drove gray primered 75 Trans Am everyday to work from valley all way to Orange, fun trip with my proudly worked 428 block underhood. (it lasted over 20 years by the way, with compression over 149. Guess I did ok)
Was honor to do some work on car 554. Shame I didn't know it's history at the time... which I am well aware of now. (I have a Hot Wheels car of it now ha ha)
And you blew out the blue grill glass I racked my brain shaping for a better fit ha ha. (I blew the 428 around 8000 rpm between 1st& 2nd as why I built the previous owners... a lot less quiet I'm sure than that Hemi blowing!) Glad you ok though.
Found this blog by researching the car on line.... hope your doing well.... and thank you again for your trust as I cut off those quarter panels of 554, and formed new ones. Proud moment.
Best to all your racing days...

Sorry to tell you JimmyKidd that Ken doesn't frequent this board any longer.. (his last posts were in 2010 or 2011??)
There are 1 or 2 guys that still chat with him so maybe they'll pass along your "Hello"?!?!?

But it's good to see you here and it sounds like you've got some cool rides under your belt! Hope you can share'em!

Thanks guys. And for the email fwd. I checked the date first...and winged it. Groups usually have historical interest too so its nice when people add history when they can....or people fwd to help out...too...so thank you.
Those quarter panels i cut out...i remember hated cutting through the Moon Eyes decal, and Roadrunner head racing cams decal....i like history too.....but I saved the two pieces...only to be lost in moments of moving around year 2000. I hope another lover of hot rods made a connection with them, and saved them.
As for rides under me....I didnt race pro like Ken, I did street road canyon race. Growing up around Malibu Canyon...lets just say I got to the beach a whole lot quicker than my friends ;-)
I did a nice job on this T/A in photo. Factory 455HO w/Munice 4spd... replaced w/ 69' Pontiac police cruiser 428 block, 421 rods, and so on,completely machined well, paying a lot of attention to detail, and precision. Lasted 20+ years and not at just 55 mph. Lowered (properly) front & rear, geared trans & rear (learned some thx to Ken) to keep up with the bikers thru canyons (they never lost me). My proud claim to local valley fame.
Used to like getting in front of a sister GM Z28.... and let them read my CA license plate... "IETZ28S"..... as I left them sitting there trying to figure it out. Ha ha. (no more car,but kept the plates live)
Ken liked to go 0-176 in under 10 seconds. (he's nuts! lol) I liked to go around S curves at 60, stick like glue, and be at the beach..... a bit over 10 seconds lol.
