Sorry It Took So Long
Sorry for the absense, We've been working real hard to get this car to where we wanted it, and it finally happened Saturday at the Jet Cars Under The Stars race. My license is now good from 0 - 7.99.

Thanks Dave!! I had another pass a few weeks ago where it went 178 but it was a pedal-fest and it only gave me an 8.36.Mike Casella

Thanks all!! With me finally getting to the point that I was looking for, as of the 23rd of this month, I'll be handing over the keys to my son to finish off the season. By putting him in the drivers seat, I will get to take over his job as crew chief. Now that my license is upgraded, if the need should come up, I'll be able to jump in and fill the seat with no trouble.Mike Casella

We went to the track this weekend to have my son get his license passes in. He did the required 330' - 1/8 - 1/8 - 1/4 then we ran out of time. The passes were done on the motor only so he could get used to the car and how it handles. The second 1/8th mile pass, I gave him just the first stage to get him used to how it launches. His reply at the end of the track was along the lines of HOLY CRAP!! On the first full pass, he was able to get the feel of the car at speed. That pass netted him a 8.32 at 165. Today we were supposed to make one more pass, and I was prepared to give him both stages, but a valve train gremlin snuck in there and put an end to our day before it even started. I have to tear it down this week and see what the misery is and get it fixed. I have to add in here that for someone that has been out of a race car for close to 5 years, he was incredible, and now I can't wait to get it fixed so he can finish up his final pass and show me how he does with all the power.Mike Casella

After removing the intake, I found the problem. As dumb as it sounds, the spare intake push rods I had were the wrong length. It'll go back together tomorrow night. (insert a good a$$ kicking here)Mike Casella
