drag racing on green
This should ruffle some feathers in the fuel powered racers minds, but its where we are heading, its drag racing with electricity only. but 1st link is a site to electric powered road cars cars, to show a few people are converting s-10 trucks total electric they also sell kits to do this, a coworker of mine is planning to build one this winter.

And now the fast part, Mid and upper 7 second 1/4 mile passes total electric dragster, Ive also seen an electric s-10 on passtime run 8.77.

here is an electric drag bike, very good news footage explaining what makes the bike tick, 7.82 1/4 mile time.

I saw an electric drag bike out here a couple years ago... weird as it didn't really make any noise except the tire during the burnout.
There's also a youtube of the bike inventer wrecking it during a TV interview in front conference center on the sidewalk... lucky to be alive:

For me... I hope we still have petrol around for a while!

I saw that crash last week, I am thinking it may be a hoax. He is going like 100 mph when you hear the bike crash, but you cant see it. Then they show the guy, no helmet, polo shirt still tucked in his pants nice and pretty, no rips in his kackie pants, no blood. Then they show the bike with the front wheel just pushed inside a wheelwell of a mini van, Bike is still standing upright, no bent forks, the front tire is flat, but thats easy enough. Ive seen 1st hand a guy crash a bike at 55 mph, his jeans were shredded and his shirt was also. Its a cool video but too much speed for very little damage. Give it another watch and tell me what you think.Last edited by mooneye777; 10-26-2008 at 05:42 PM.

I was a contestant on Pastime in Phoenix. One of the cars on my show was this electric dragster. He tried to through us off, by saying it had something like "20 horsepower" motor. But "torque" is what moves the car and I figured that it had to be quick because of the size of the slicks, chassis lenght and the top level of safety equipment (I assumed NHRA "required") he wore. Fortunetely, I guessed correctly and won that round.
It was funny standing next to it as he launched and "hearing" the tires slip in the VHT prepped surface.
Thank you Roger. .
