Radiator
Last summer I had a overheating problem, even with a aluminum radiator. Formerly, I had used an electric fan (puller) but due to the overheating, I switched to a 17" mechnical flex fan (puller) and one of those aluminum fan scroud (actually they are two half fan scrouds that I struck together to make it a full circle enclosure. The 66 Chevelle is equiped with a Edelbrock (mech.) Victor series highflow aluminum water pump. I relocated the electric fan (pusher) in front and have it set to go on at 180 degrees.
I am thinking of replacing the water and coolant combo with the Evans plus waterless coolant.
Summer will be here before we know it and I want to be prepared. My car will see track time and was thinking of putting in a race radiator. I will drive my car to the track (75 miles). Will this radiator with a dual scirocco fan be ok for a street car?
Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks for your replys.
The car has a 400 hp 383 with 200 hp dual shot NOS.

The answer is simple, get the coolent tempature dropper that you can buy through summit, they call it 40 below, and go to your local grocer and get about 4- 5 gallons of distilled water ( or however many gallons your radiator holds ). use this combo and your car will effectivley run 40 degrees cooler. Just make shure you flush the radaitor with real coolant every winter or the block will crack when it freezes. You don't know what you've got til it's gone
