    eletric fuel pump vs mech

im having top end fuel starvation in my 10-11 sec chevelle. will a eletric fuel pump be better than my 110gph mech. i plan on using a 150 shot of nos soon. will a 140gph eletric pump be enough. i just got a fuel cell. will i gain power because i wont have a pushrod on the cam. what fuel line 6 0r 8 an would be enough for 600 to 800 hp

-8 fuel line to the carb, and ideally a separate pump and -6 line for the fuel side of the nitrous system. If you're having fuel starvation problems now, with nitrous it will become a case of melt down on the pistons.....

what is the hp rule for 6 an vs 8 an
the pump regulator and filter has 3/8 ports is it ok to go 3/8 to 8an the fram filter says 90 gph is that filter to small
i plan on using to 90 deg elbows out of regulator and running each line directly to fuel bowl

The general rule of thumb is that if you can use -8 then why use -6. However if you consider the engineering side it comes down to pressure drop over your line length versus flow rate. If you consider that the -6 works fine in most applications up to 800-1000 hp.

AN 10 out of the gas tank to a regulator to AN 8 to carbs .OR AN 8 out of the tank to a regulator to AN 6 .or two AN 8 out of the tank going in to a Y fuel block to AN 10 then to a regulator out to AN8 by the carbs this is the way we did it with the old holley blue pumps but with the bigger pumps you can get i would just go to AN 10 .for a drag car bigger line will not hurt with a good pump . AN 6 is to small out of the fuel tank
