    FED in the works

Thought I'd share the newest project with you all. It is a 160" nostalgia front engine dragster. 377ci injected SBC, glide. I have the chassis done and am doing the sheetmetal now. Hope to have it ready for the midwest nostalgia circuit next spring.

I am looking forward to it. It has been many years since I was brave enough to have my manhood strattling a hand grenade. I am sure my son will be doing most of the piloting, that still makes it more important that I beef up the shielding even more. We have all taken chances in our lives that we would not want our children to take. I had some thoughts of taking the blown 54 out of the Willys for it but decided that a small block might cause less carnage.

All in all I think it will be fun again.

PS Anybody got a line on a set of good used front wire wheels for Anglia spindles?

Wow, thats lighter than the small block, we could really go fast.

I have always thought you had to be a little whacked to want to strap yourself to a piece of scrapnel. and yet here were are.

Too much money and too few brains gets us in the really fast lane.

yep a 10.200 bowtie block with alum heads like the old pro stock 862 heads is about 588 lbs with a alum intake.dart or world iron block would be more maybe 60 +lbs and the 10.200 deck donovan is 450 lbs intake to pan block is about 100lbs if you were not so far away i would take you up on this

Very cool looking project!! The 377 should work out just fine BTW. I have one in a Fiero with alum heads and a carb. it's plenty fast enough to scare the crap out of me.
Glad there are so many 383s out there, as that leaves a lot more of the "good" parts for us 377 guys

    Lotsa

I love FED's. Looks like yours is going to be a fun ride when done. As for the wheels, they show up on Ebay from time to time. Here are some on there now. Not exactly what you are looking for maybe, but they do show up.

Keep the pictures coming as you progress.

Oh, here is a second set even cheaper...........

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

Uh.............not exactly..................I think the last time anyone thought of you as "hot stuff" was when you accidentally set your ponytail on fire.
